I'm leaving today I want to be a part of it, New York, New York These vagabond shoes Are longing to stray And make a brand new start of it New York, New York I want to wake up in the city that never sleeps To find I'm king of the hill, top of the heap These little town blues Are melting away I'll make a brand new start of it In old New York If I can make it there I'll make it anywhere It's up to you, New York, New York. ------------------------------- This was just going to be a brief sketch, very simple but to the point. But after a few unsuccessful attempts, I finally came up with this image, which took 2 hours to complete, and I am quite proud of it! This is a piece of fan art for one of my favorite songs of all time, "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra! It actually makes you wonder what will come to you if you go to the city! |

Yea, is took me a while to figure out how I wanted to draw the city. First I wanted to put it behind him, but decided instead to put it up on, like you said, a "dream cloud". After all, he was only thinking about the city, right?
